Kuissential Recipes
Pound Cake 1.5-lb Loaf

  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 14 Cup buttermilk
  • 13 Cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 34 teaspoon almond or vanilla extract
  • 1 12 Cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 34 teaspoon baking soda
  • 34 Cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt

In a small bowl, mix together eggs, buttermilk, vanilla/almond extract and cooled melted butter. Add to bread pan of the Kuissential 2-lb Programmable Bread Machine, and on top add remaining ingredients. Select Cake cycle (10), 1.5 lb. Loaf, medium crust press start. and allow to "knead". After 2 minutes, scrape down sides with a rubber spatula, ensuring nothing sticks to the sides.. Allow to bake and remove to cool when finished.

**Note: You can make your own buttermilk! The general ratio is 1 cup milk to 1 tablespoon white vinegar. In this case, use 1/3 cup milk and 1 teaspoon vinegar.

Kuissential Tip: Spray the breadmaker paddle with cooking spray to prevent dough from sticking!
